KIRCHER Ars Magna Lucis et Umbrae 1671

A very rare work, written in Latin and published in 1671 "Ars Magna Lucis et Umbrae" by the German Jesuit Athanasius KIRCHER. It describes the results of his research into the study of light and its relation to darkness. He gives particular detail to projection using a lantern in a dark room, thus becoming known as the father of the magic lantern
